How to get to know your new mat:

Use it - Honestly, the more you use your mat, the stickier/stickier it will become.
Wash it off – In the bath or shower with a sponge.
Machine Wash - This will remove any film residue left behind by the manufacturer. Select a gentle cycle at (40°C maximum). Do not wring. Do not tumble dry.
Salt Scrub – Sprinkle your mat with a mixture of sea salt and warm water. Then wipe it off with a brush or rag. This can help break up the initial layer, which will help you slip less.
