Brass Buddha statuette - 8cm

This brass figure represents Ratnasambhava Buddha, one of the five Dhyani Buddhas of Buddhist tantric teachings. He is represented in a meditation posture, seated, with his legs crossed and a bowl of alms in his left hand. The right arm hangs naturally alongside the body, the palm of the hand is open forward. It is the Varada mudra, the hand gesture which symbolizes giving, welcoming, offering.
