“Golden milk”, a well-known drink for kundalini yogi-ni-s

Golden milk, or turmeric milk, has become very popular lately and for good reason. Turmeric has been used as a spice in Indian recipes and as an Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. It has many health benefits, as it has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. Turmeric is also used to relieve swelling and pain due to headaches and injuries and is called “natural aspirin” in Ayurvedic medicine.

Combined with other healing ingredients, golden milk helps you sleep well at night, it balances your hormones, and it's warming, soothing, and delicious. It’s also incredibly easy to prepare!

Here is a recipe:
5 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil
1/2 cup organic turmeric powder
1 cup of water
1.5 teaspoons black pepper
2 cups of almond milk (or rice or cow's milk if you prefer)
A pinch of cinnamon

First of all, make a golden paste by mixing coconut oil, turmeric, black pepper in order to bring out the aromas and virtues of these spices then add just a little water to the pan (not too much to properly make a paste) and simmer for about 10 minutes. Let the mixture cool and put it in the refrigerator in a jar. It will keep for about two weeks.
To prepare the golden milk, heat the almond milk (or other) and a teaspoon of the golden paste. Whisk until well combined. Add cinnamon to taste.
